Meet our team
At Ajenta, we always pride ourselves in providing first class service to our users and we believe this comes from employing a great team, who work well together and create our ‘Ajenta Family’. In this series of blog posts, we will let you get to know our team a little better.
Keith Langlands has worked on the Vscene service for many years, and now heads up our support team.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, what did your typical day look like at the Ajenta Hub?
I managed the Vscene support team, overseeing calls and emails coming in the support desk, to ensure the support given was always of a high standard. Weekly catch ups with the all areas of the business were key, ensuring the team were all up to date with any service changes or feature releases to allow us to provide first class support to our customers.

Has anything changed now that you are working from home?keith
Since working from home, my role has stayed the same, with the slight increase in more regular video calls with the team. Working from home, I felt it was important to keep the regular interaction found in the office through video calls.
I also was able to introduce a new member to my home, Lexi the Labradoodle. She was a welcome addition and has brought a lot of joy. Her playful cries and big hopeful eyes also makes me move more and encourages me to get out and exercise.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy helping people, and it gives me great joy to put a smile on someones face. My team are great, and I enjoy being part of the Ajenta family, and the Vscene journey.

What is your background and how did you decide to move into this role?
I have a degree in Computing and have mostly always worked in the customer support field in IT. I worked as part of the Vscene service prior to Ajenta taking ownership, and was fortunate to be asked to continue. Shortly after joining Ajenta, I was asked to lead the support desk and the rest is history.

What is the most interesting project or support ticket you have worked on?
As I was part of the team when Vscene was taken over by Ajenta, I was fortunate to be part to see and be part of process to improve and develop Vscene. I was also part of the early stages of the V-Room space solutions service, helping setup and support the hardware solutions going to customers, and watching this project grow as more advancements in hardware were introduced.

What are your hobbies out-with work? Any hidden talents?
I enjoy the outdoors, going walks and cycling, as well as going to the cinema, playing computers games and playing with Lexi (the dog). I recently moved home, so my DIY skills are being put to the test, and I have started taking an interest in gardening.
